- research your business name or doctor name to make sure no other business listing exists BEFORE you create a new listing on any local business platform.

Duplicate listings cause issues with your online brand and local ranking, especially if listed under a different name with the same address and phone number. Ex: John Smith DDS PC vs Smith Orthodontics. If your actual business name is different from the corporate name, file for a DBA (doing business as) or Fictitious name in each individual state.
